A hand printed linocut card inspired by and created on the Isle of Islay off the west coast of Scotland.
This card is blank inside for your own message and measures 140mm x 140mm. The card is made from good quality 270g recycled paper, it comes with a brown Kraft envelope.
The red deer stag is the largest land mammal in the UK and an iconic Scottish image. Islay is home to a large population of red deer as well as roe and fallow. Here on the Oa we enjoy seeing them regularly on our walks in the hills and come autumn the sound of their roaring during the rut is an incredible experience.
After sketching we then transfer the design onto Lino and carve it with a fine tool. Every card is hand printed and therefore unique. We use vegetable oil-based inks and our cards and envelopes are made from recycled card and packaged in recycled tissue paper.
