A hand printed linocut card inspired by and created on the Isle of Islay off the west coast of Scotland.
This card is blank inside for your own message and measures 172mm x 122mm. The card is made from good quality 300g recycled paper and comes with a brown Kraft envelope.
Grass of Parnassus
Unusually named, as it isn’t a grass at all. Grass of Parnassus is a beautiful white and green veined flower that grows in the wet pastures and moorlands near our home on The Oa, Islay. Also known as Bog Star, it is said to smell of honey.
This plant was sketched from a close-up picture we took on one of our daily walks in July 2020. After sketching we then transfer the design onto Lino and carve it with a fine tool. Every card is hand printed and therefore unique. We use vegetable oil-based inks and our cards and envelopes are made from recycled card and packaged in recycled tissue paper.
