A handprinted linocut card inspired by and created on the Isle of Islay, off the west coast of Scotland.
This card is blank inside for your own message and measures 172mm x 122mm. The card is made from good quality 300g recycled paper and comes with a brown Kraft envelope.
Eyebright, Euphrasia
A tiny inconspicuous herb that grows in abundance in the landscape surrounding our home on The Oa, Islay. Eyebright has been used through the centuries to treat numerous eye ailments and the plants are semi-parasitic. They attached themselves to grass roots, absorbing their nutrients allowing other wildflowers to flourish. 5% of sales from each of our wildflower products will be donated to Plantlife, who work nationally and internationally to raise the profile of wild flowers, celebrate their beauty and protect their future.
This Eyebright was sketched from a close-up picture we took on one of our daily walks. After sketching we then transfer the design onto lino and carve it with a fine tool. Every card is hand printed and therefore unique. We use vegetable oil-based inks and our cards and envelopes are made from recycled paper and packaged in recycled tissue paper.
