Handprinted Christmas Card - Christmas Morning Dip - Isle of Islay

This card is blank inside for your own message and measures 140mm x 140mm. The card is made from good quality 270g recycled paper, it comes with a Kraft envelope.

My passion for wild swimming inspired this linocut. One of my favourite places for a ‘Morning Dip’ is at Carraig Fhada Lighthouse in Kilnaughton Bay in the south of Islay only a few miles from my home. It’s a sheltered spot and therefore perfect for a Christmas Morning swim. The waters are crystal clear most of the year, we often see gannets diving, great northern divers bobbing offshore and very rarely we are treated to a breaching dolphin. This design was sketched in summer 2023, after sketching we transfer the design onto Lino and carve it with a fine tool. Every card is hand printed and therefore subtly unique.
